On Monday afternoon, the ACC announced kick times and TV coverage for games played November 1st.
And for your Hurricanes, coming off a home game against the Stanford Cardinal, Miami will make their first trip outside the State of Florida to travel to Dallas to play the SMU Mustangs. But when exactly will that game be played? We’ll find out late Saturday or Sunday.
A quick reminder: conferences can invoke the 6-day hold provision to delay their decision on game times and TV coverage to ensure the best games get the best slots for visibility. Miami has been the subject of 6 day holds in the past, but this is the first time the ACC has invoked this structure for any games this year.
This is the first time a Canes game has been placed on a 6 day hold this year. Previously, Miami was a no brainer choice for every available primetime TV slot. 6 of Miami’s first 7 games have been played in Primetime, in case you were doubting me on that point.
So, we’ll have to wait until after this week’s Stanford game to know when next week’s SMU game will be played. No problem. We’ll focus on the game in front of us and worry about the rest later.
