On December 9, 2025, the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a report of a stolen blue 2015 Dodge Challenger from a residence near NE 14th Avenue in Cape Coral. The vehicle was reported stolen after the owner confirmed no one had permission to use it.

Later that day, the vehicle was located in Fort Myers, where officers observed suspect Blake Riollano (DOB 07/13/2006) driving it with a passenger. Both fled on foot after abandoning the vehicle but were quickly detained. Identification and personal property belonging to Riollano were located inside the stolen vehicle.

Cape Coral Police Property Crimes Detectives interviewed the passenger, who said that Riollano picked him up around 3 a.m. in the stolen vehicle, told him the vehicle was stolen, and drove around Pine Island and Cape Coral before being arrested.

Probable cause was established for the arrest of Blake Riollano for the following:

–Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, F.S.S. 812.014(2)(c)(6), Third Degree Felony

During the follow-up investigation, the vehicle owner reported an attempted charge of $299.17 on a credit card left inside the stolen vehicle at a grocery store in Bokeelia on December 9, 2025. Store personnel verified the declined transaction and provided surveillance video showing two males attempting to purchase groceries.

Detectives obtained video and still images from the store and later met with the other known male in the video, who identified himself and Riollano in the footage.

Based on the investigation, detectives established probable cause for additional charges against Riollano. On January 20, 2026, he was arrested and charged with the following:

–Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, F.S.S. 817.61, Third Degree Felony

–Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information, F.S.S. 817.568(2)(a), Third Degree Felony
