The third annual Dementia Care & Cure Conference is scheduled Friday, Feb 6 to educate the community on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Marc Agronin, a board-certified adult and geriatric psychiatrist who serves as chief medical officer at the Frank C. and Lynn Scaduto Mind Institute at Miami Jewish Health. Dr. Agronin’s work has been dedicated to improving the lives of older adults through advanced clinical research and memory care.
He and other panel members will offer tools, insights and resources to help caregivers of those with dementia balance compassionate care with selfcare. Other featured speakers include Riley Costanzo, MSW, Director of Brookdale Cognitive Health Services at Baker Senior Center Naples and David Hage, PhD, who has a slew of other acronyms after his name, including LCSW and many more. Hage serves as Master of Social Work program director for Florida Gulf Coast University.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon at Baker Senior Center Naples, 6200 Autumn Oaks Lane. The cost is $15 per person, which includes a light breakfast. Registration is required and seats are limited. For reservations, call 239-325-4444 by Jan. 30.
