PORT ST. LUCIE ── Maggie McFly’s Local Craft Eatery & Bar is planning to open in the Shoppes at Veranda Falls on Becker Road.
The Connecticut-based restaurant chain is known for its diverse menu, featuring local purveyors and natural ingredients. There will be more than 180 options on the varied menu.
“Maggie McFly’s feels we have something very special and distinct to bring and give to the people of Port St. Lucie, including a menu comprised of dishes nourished with local ingredients directly from the community,” said Marketing Director Carrie Koscal.
The bar at the new Maggie McFly’s will also be focused on local sources. Expect a large selection of local craft beers, a strong line-up of single malt scotches, small batch bourbons, high end tequilas and an innovative collection of martinis and specialty signature drinks, which will be comprised of local spirits whenever possible.
The restaurant will be moving into the space formerly occupied by Bonefish Mac’s, which closed permanently earlier this month.
The space caught the attention of Ray Harper, founder and sole owner of all ten Maggie McFly’s, several months ago.
“After doing initial research on the town of Port St. Lucie, as well as surrounding businesses, and community demographics, Ray determined PSL would make for an excellent addition to the Maggie McFly’s brand roster, and his expansion into the state of Florida, Koscal said.
The first Maggie McFly’s opened in November 1993 in Middlebury, Conn. There are six locations in Connecticut, two in Virginia, and one in Albany, NY.
The Port St. Lucie location will be the brand’s second in Florida. They opened in Boca Raton in November 2023.
The unique brand is targeting early 2026 for an opening date at the 662 SE Becker Road location.
