Man accused of three murders within days in Tallahassee, Valdosta

  • January 22, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man is now accused of three murders — possibly all committed within 24 to 48 hours.

Two victims were found in Tallahassee, and another victim was located in Valdosta, according to authorities.

Court records say two women were shot to death in Leon County. One woman’s body was found off Bethel by the Lake Drive and another near the public range in the Apalachicola National Forest. A man, who arrest papers identify as the suspect’s co-worker, was shot and killed in Valdosta.

54-year-old Flay Rollins is behind bars in connection with the killings and faces three counts of murder. The State Attorney says he may face a fourth murder charge if an autopsy confirms one of the women was pregnant.

State attorney Jack Campbell said Rollins was out on bond awaiting trial for another attempted murder when the three murders happened.

“It’s up to a judge to make a determination as to what bond will be set. At first appearance, he went before a Leon County judge and they elected to release him on $10,000 bond. That is not reviewable. He had never violated his bond before these horrific acts. Often, you hear our office ask for no bond holds or very high bonds, because this is the reason you do it. It’s obviously a debate on keeping people in jail which is a very serious thing to do but this is the nightmare scenario as when people get out of jail these kind of atrocities can happen.”

Florida Department of Corrections records show Rollins has been to prison seven times in the past 30-plus years and was most recently released in 2022.
