Accused triple murderer killed woman he stabbed in 2018, prosecutors say

  • January 22, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Court documents revealed a startling new development in a triple murder that has stunned North Florida and South Georgia.

Prosecutors confirmed Wednesday that one of the women, 54-year-old Flay Rollins is accused of shooting and killing last week in Leon County, is a woman he was accused of trying to kill once before.

Court records show that soon after Rollins’ arrest on Jan. 16, 2026, he told Leon County deputies not only had he shot and killed Otica Williams near the Richardson Recreation and Retreat Center, but he confessed to killing Sheena Kenon, the mother of his child, earlier the same day near the Apalachicola Public Range.

According to court records, Rollins told deputies he shot Kenon multiple times and then dragged her farther into the woods and shot her again in the head.

A review of Rollins’ previous arrests shows he was arrested back in 2018 and accused of trying to kill Kenon after a heated argument at her apartment. Court papers say Rollins ultimately stabbed Kenon in the back with a knife and ran.

He would later stand trial for attempted murder, court records show, but was found guilty of the lesser charge of attempted manslaughter. Rollins was sentenced to four years in prison for it.

Prosecutor Adrian Mood confirmed Wednesday that the victim in that 2018 case, was the same Sheena Kenon that Rollins is accused of killing last week.

State Attorney Jack Campbell said Rollins has a rap sheet dating back 30 years and a disturbing history of domestic violence.

“Often the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior,” Campbell said. “So that’s a red flag, but probably the more severe red flag is the domestic nature of the prior crimes and what we’re dealing with now. Domestic violence is incredibly prevalent, incredibly dangerous, and this is a classic example.”

Rollins was out on bond and awaiting trial in May on an unrelated attempted murder charge. Court papers say he is accused of stabbing his girlfriend with a box cutter in October 2023.

Rollins now faces three counts of murder, two in Leon County and one in Lowndes County, where he is accused of shooting and killing his co-worker Walter “Bo” Pettiford on Jan. 16.

The State Attorney says Rollins could face an additional count of murder if an autopsy confirms one of the female victims was pregnant when she was killed.
