ST. PETERSBURG — A man who was seriously injured when his electric bicycle collided with a trailer in St. Petersburg has died.

Caidyn Reese Knuth, 19, died Oct. 18 at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital.

The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. Oct. 15 at the intersection of 32nd Avenue North and Hartford Street North.

Knuth was riding his e-bike southbound on Hartford Street North as a gray Ford F-150 pulling a lawn trailer traveled eastbound on 32nd Avenue North, police said. The truck was driven by Charles Earle Billue, 44, of St. Petersburg.

At the intersection, the e-bike collided with the side of the lawn trailer, police said. Knuth was thrown from the bicycle and transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
