ORLANDO, Fla. — As we continue our coverage of missing persons cases in Central Florida, it’s important to remember that just one tip could make the difference for families waiting days, weeks or even years to find their missing loved one.

What You Need To Know

It doesn’t matter if it has been one day, one month or one decade, all it takes is one tip to find a person

Crimeline offers to take anonymous tips online or by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Bethany Hasel is waiting on that one tip to come in about her missing brother, Vladek Hasel

The Place apartments in East Orange County was the last place Vladek Hasel was seen.

“Being here brings back a lot of emotions,” said Bethany Hasel, Vladek’s sister.

Memories from when Vladek Hasel and his dad lived there, but also, a reminder of everything and everyone that’s missing.

“Because it happened so quickly, we lost nearly all of Vlad’s belongings,” Bethany Hasel said.

The apartments are now condemned after Hurricane Ian flooded his apartment about 10 months after he disappeared.

“In my heart of hearts, I know something is not right, and I will not rest until I get answers I need,” Bethany Hasel said.

His sister has not stopped the search since November 2021.

“These are awareness cards for Vlad,” Bethany Hasel said.

Cards, fliers, magnets, coffee sleeves, keychains, T-shirts, you name it, Vlad’s name and picture is on it.

“My goal is to spread his story far and wide,” she said.

She has shared with hundreds and thousands of people but hasn’t reached the right person yet.

“We don’t know what that piece of the puzzle is that will finish the case for law enforcement,” said Barb Bergin, the executive director of Crimeline.

Bergin worked at the Orlando Police Department for 25 years. Now, she runs the anonymous tip center, Crimeline.

“These cases tend to lean more towards just the general public. Did you see this car in this area? Did you see this person at this restaurant, bar, whatever? So we do ask general questions of the pubic,” Bergin said.

The calls are not recorded. There is no caller I.D. It is completely free and anonymous to give tips 24 hours a day, seven days a week, no matter how old the case is.

“I could get a tip today, and I could be hugging my brother,” Bethany Hasel said.

Until that day comes, Bethany Hasel has her box of supplies and is ready to hit the road to let everyone know Vladek Hasel is missing and she needs your help to bring him home.
