January 22, 2026 – Denise White, an educator at James B. Sanderlin K-8, is the 2026 Pinellas County Schools Teacher of the Year. The school district awarded White, who graduated from Northeast High School and began her local teaching career in 1994, at an award ceremony Wednesday night. Students and staff celebrated White’s achievement when she arrived at Sanderlin K-8, at 2350 22nd Ave. S. in St. Petersburg, in a limousine Thursday morning.
