Floridian Ceramics will launch Seminole Heights’ first shared pottery workspace next month. Haley Melcher, a fourth-generation Floridian who started the Tampa Bay brand, aims for a February 2026 debut.

Newcomers and skilled potters alike can use the space. Melcher runs an Intro to Wheel Throwing class and envisions a spot where members shape clay into finished pieces.

Before switching to ceramics full time in 2024, Melcher studied biology. She spent years in marine research, examining native plants and animals.

Her creations pull inspiration from Florida’s ecosystems. Bowls, mugs, and plates show earthy hues and textures built for kitchens, not shelves.

Seminole Heights already hosts breweries, bars, vintage shops, and plant stores. This pottery workspace adds one more creative outlet.

Class times and membership pricing will appear closer to launch. Check the company’s Instagram and website for announcements.
