TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Today’s something good is helping hand for seniors who count on Meals on Wheels each day.
The Tallahassee chapter of Woodmen Life stopped by Elder Care Services this week to tour the kitchen where meals are made, and dropped off a $25,000 check to help expand and remodel the space.

Carissa Stumpf with the Tallahassee chapter of Woodmen Life said providing food and services to seniors is more important than ever.
“We’re all about serving our community, and what better than to serve the aging population that has already served our community in the past, and so this is a good way for us to give back,” Stumpf said.

Elder Care Services is in the midst of expanding its kitchen to serve more seniors. 500 people are on its Meals on Wheels waiting list right now.
Construction is expected to begin in June.
