JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – Two people are dead and one person is injured following an early morning car crash in Jefferson County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the crash happened just before 1 a.m. Friday morning on US Highway 90 near Abram Road. Troopers said the truck was going west on Highway 90 when it went off the road and hit a tree.
More news out of the Big Bend:
A 46-year-old Tallahassee man was riding in the backseat of the car, per FHP. They said the man was not wearing a seatbelt and he died at the scene.
The driver was a 21-year-old man from Dade City and was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
There was also a 31-year-old man from Tallahassee riding in the front seat and he is now recovering in the hospital, according to FHP.
