A man was shot and killed by officers Friday after a call for a person in crisis in Miami Gardens, police officials said.

The call came in at around 3:50 in the area of 183rd NW and 39th Street.

When officers arrived, the 33-year-old man was found armed with multiple weapons, according to Miami Gardens Police Chief Delma Noel-Pratt. At one point, an officer fired their weapon, killing the man.

The man was not identified.

Noel-Pratt said 1-2 officers were also injured.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
