ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is enjoying a mild start to the weekend, but there will be some changes.
Temperatures are expected to climb steadily through Sunday, with much of the region forecast to approach record highs. Saturday’s highs are expected to reach the upper 70s.

Sunday could be even warmer. The forecast calls for a high of 85 degrees in Orlando, just one degree shy of the previous record of 86 degrees set in 2023.

Similar heat is expected in Melbourne and Leesburg. Both are forecast to reach 84 degrees, putting those cities right near their previous records. The high for Sanford will be close to the record as well, with a high of 85 degrees.
Near Record Highs for some cities Sunday
Saturday should feature partly cloudy skies. Sunday stays quiet, too, with partly cloudy skies overhead and temperatures running very warm for late January.
Cold front brings sharp change early next week
A strong cold front is forecast to move through Central Florida by Monday, bringing a dramatic change to the weather pattern. Highs on Monday are expected to drop to around 70 degrees, with about a 30%t chance of showers through the day.
After the front passes, colder air settles in. Tuesday’s highs are forecast to remain near 58 degrees. The morning lows drop into the upper 30s from Tuesday through the end of next week.
