TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – As winter is in full swing, shorter days and colder weather can take a toll on mental health. For some, the seasonal shift brings more than low energy or the “winter blues.”
Seasonal Affective Disorder, or SAD, is a form of depression that occurs at the same time each year, most often in the fall or winter, and can significantly interfere with daily life.

Dr. Mark Reeves, director of Psychological Services at the Apalachee Center, visited the WCTV studios to discuss the warning signs and often overlooked challenges associated with seasonal depression.
Reeves spoke with Brianna Shaw on the Good Morning Show about evidence-based strategies to help manage symptoms and protect their mental well-being during the winter months.
