The hottest team in the SEC looks to stay that way in a home Final Four rematch on Saturday afternoon.
The Florida Gators (14-5, 5-1 SEC) have won their last five games (four of which were Quad 1 victories). Now, they play host to the Auburn Tigers (12-7, 3-3 SEC), who began SEC play 1-3 but have won back-to-back games against South Carolina and Ole Miss.
These teams squared off in the national semifinals last season with the Gators winning in comeback fashion en route to a national title. The Tigers hope to return the favor in Gainesville on Saturday.

The Gators are the No. 1 rebounding team in college basketball, and while there aren’t many teams that can compete with that, Auburn may be one of them. It’s one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the nation with wing Keyshawn Hall and KeShawn Murphy. The Tigers also have enough offense to potentially keep up here, with Hall averaging 20.1 points per game.
Auburn needs a clean game and must avoid turnovers, but if it can, it has a shot here. Florida struggles with the long ball, though it is improving in that regard, and a strong shooting game could be enough for the Tigers to pull the upset.
I think UF’s bigs will be too dominant for AU to win this game, but the 11.5-point spread feels a bit high. Give me Auburn to cover.
