The City of St. Pete offers tons of free fitness classes at local parks and rec centers for residents of all skill levels.
Get Fit St. Pete is quietly one of the city’s best programs. Organized by St. Pete Parks & Recreation, it offers a lineup of recurring free outdoor activities for residents. Want to learn pickleball? Try it. Curious about kayaking? Grab a paddle. Need yoga in your life? Treat yourself one more time.
Below is a list of upcoming events. Each is linked to its event page so you can get notified when new dates are announced. While classes are free, some require pre-registration.
Healthy St. Pete is also offering a FREE Get Fit membership which is a requirement for digital sign in. Participants can sign up online to access monthly classes. Follow St. Pete Parks & Recreation on Facebook for updates.

Breeze Bike Tours
The second Friday of every month: 9am–10am

Grab your helmet and experience the joy of fitness and exploration as you cycle through beautiful St. Petersburg on a City Breeze Bike Tour! This tour offers a fun and active way to enjoy St. Pete all from the seat of your bicycle. They have 12 bikes available for rental at no cost, but anyone with their own bike is also welcome to join. Pre-registration is only required if you plan to use a rental (a maximum of 12 rentals).

Try out this paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. Paddles and balls are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. For ages 16+ at the pickleball courts on the west side of the parking lot.

Try out this paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. Paddles and balls are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own! Pre-registration is required as class size is limited, 16 participants max. Cardio Kickboxing

This exciting cardio kickboxing class will focus on technique and move into combination work for great workout. No physical boxing.

The AARP Fit Lot at Booker Creek Park

This class is good for anyone looking to build strength and improve heart health while putting less stress on your joints and muscles. No lap swimming is involved.
Neighborhood Wellness Walks
Fourth Saturday of every month beginning in October: 9am-10am

The purpose of the Neighborhood Wellness Champion program is to increase collaboration and engagement between Healthy St. Pete and neighborhoods throughout the City. Neighborhood Wellness Champions organize monthly walks in their neighborhoods.
The Trail Run at Boyd Hill

Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S
Perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. Children are welcome but must be fully supervised. Participants will start with a thorough warm up and stretching portion and then begin the run. The loop is approximately 5K (3.1 miles) but feel free to travel any distance that you desire.
Zumba
Third Thursday: 6pm-7pm

Healthy St. Pete and your Zumba instructor, Lauren Hanan, invite you to join them for a FREE Zumba class on the THIRD SATURDAY of the month. All skill levels are welcome.
