A family of four visiting the Universal Orlando Resort were questioned by police following an alleged attack on a hotel employee.

Police identified the family members as Huberto Dorto, Laura Alonso Silva, Amanda Brito and Olivia Nicole Brito, per the affidavit.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, the Orlando Police Department responded to the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort around 9:45 p.m. local time on Monday, Jan. 19. When they arrived, they met with a hotel employee working at the restaurant who claimed she was attacked by a family attempting to validate their parking, per the affidavit.

According to police, the employee validated two parking tickets but refused to validate the other two. Instead, the employee claimed she saw one of the female family members attempt to validate the ticket without a staff member. The alleged victim then reportedly notified the valet attendant not to let them leave.

The alleged victim then claimed one of the women, Amanda Brito, “began yelling at her and smacking her work iPad,” per the affidavit. Police say she then retrieved a supervisor but “the argument turned physical.”

The employee claimed Amanda “hit [the employee] in the face and pull[ed] her hair” before “all four subjects began to punch and kick her all at the same time.” She further claims she was punched in the stomach and legs and “ended up on the ground fighting with all four individuals until the fight was broken up by hotel staff.”

According to police, the employee’s supervisor advised that he was aware that the family came back multiple times attempting to validate their parking. He claimed he observed “the family” “hit” the alleged victim, and unsuccessfully attempted to break up the fight.

Amanda told police she was attempting to validate her parking but the employee refused. Amanda claimed the employee called her “ugly” before the staff member “proceeded to hit her.” The guest says she acted in “self-defense,” leading to the fight on the ground.

Olivia Nicole, Amanda’s daughter, agreed the alleged victim called her mom “ugly.” Olivia claims she proceeded to “put her hands on” the alleged victims chest “to calm her down.”

According to the affidavit, Humberto Dorto claimed he was in the restaurant during the altercation, but says he only witnessed the incident.

The affidavit states the alleged victim “had some redness on her right arm;” however, the police could not determine if it was from the incident. The employee told police she wanted to press charges.
