PBIA RIGHT NOW WITH MORE ON THAT. HERE AT PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SO FAR, WHAT WE’RE SEEING IS OVER 30 DELAYS AND OVER 20 CANCELLATIONS. I SPOKE TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE TRAVELERS COMING IN A DAY EARLY JUST TO AVOID BEING SNOWED IN UP NORTH. WE’RE PICKING UP OUR GRANDSON. GRANDPARENTS STEVEN AND MARGARET. CLIFTON SPENT ABOUT 45 MINUTES WAITING FOR THEIR GRANDSON’S ARRIVAL FROM DETROIT, MICHIGAN, A CITY EXPERIENCING BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES. I THINK THEY’VE GOT ABOUT 7 OR 8IN OF SNOW IN IN THAT AREA, PLUS THE WIND, YOU KNOW, IS DOING A LOT OF DRIFTING. AND I THINK IT RAINED HERE A DAY OR TWO AGO. AND SO THEY’VE GOT ICE ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE. SO IT MAKES IT KIND OF BAD. A TRIP THAT WAS ALREADY PLANNED IS CALLING FOR AN EARLIER ARRIVAL TIME, DUE TO A MASSIVE WINTER STORM IN SEVERAL PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. THE CLIFTON SAY THEIR GRANDSON IS COMING. A DAY EARLIER WE WERE WORRIED IT WOULD BE CANCELED TOMORROW AND WE WERE CONCERNED ABOUT TOMORROW, BUT MY DAUGHTER CALLED AND GOT GOT THE TICKET FOR TODAY AND SO IT CAME OUT PRETTY GOOD. AND THEIR GRANDSON ISN’T THE ONLY PERSON TRADING THE SNOW FOR SUNSHINE THIS WEEKEND. ANOTHER TRAVELER FROM BOSTON IS STARTING HER ANNUAL VACATION AND IS WAITING FOR HER BEST FRIEND’S ARRIVAL. MY GIRLFRIEND FROM HIGH SCHOOL, ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS. SHE JUST LANDED ON JETBLUE FROM BOSTON AND SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO COME TOMORROW. BUT BECAUSE OF THE BIG STORM, SHE’S, THANK GOD, SWITCHED TO TODAY BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW IF SHE WOULD HAVE MADE IT OUT TOMORROW. OTHER AIRPORTS ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA ARE SEEING A HIGHER NUMBER OF DELAYS AND CANCELLATIONS AT FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. THERE WERE OVER 100 DELAYS WITH OVER 90 CANCELLATIONS ON SATURDAY. FURTHER SOUTH AT MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, WHICH IS THE STATE’S BUSIEST AIRPORT, THERE WERE OVER 200 DELAYS AND OVER 90 CANCELLATIONS ON SATURDAY AS WELL. WITH THIS MASSIVE WINTER STORM, TWO THIRDS OF THE U.S. HAS SEEN HUNDREDS OF DELAYS AND CANCELLATIONS. SO IF YOU’RE TRAVELING OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, BE SURE TO CHECK AND SEE IF YOUR FLIGHT IS DELAYED OR CANCELED. THAT WAY, YOU CAN MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO YOUR TRAVEL PLANS. BUT FOR NOW
