Travelers were evacuated from Miami International Airport on Sunday, January 25, after a suspicious item was found in the South Terminal area.
The airport said the TSA checkpoints for concourses G, H, and J and the surrounding areas were evacuated and closed as the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office investigated the item.
“Passengers driving to MIA this evening should give themselves additional time,” the airport said.
