Florida State had a plethora of talented prospects on campus this weekend for their Junior Day festivities. One of their top targets, Cincinnati running back commit Javarris Warner, made his way to Tallahassee for the event.
It was a return trip for Warner as he was on campus back in September for FSU’s game against the East Texas A&M Lions. Something about this trip hit different for Warner. Despite his commitment to the Bearcats, the Seminoles have shot up his board after hearing about the offensive philosophy they have.
“This visit really opened my eyes,” Warner said via Rivals. “Coach Martin and Coach Malzahn explained the offense, and it made sense. Seeing the players work showed me it’s a player-led team.”
Rivals’ industry rankings have Warner listed as the No. 662 overall player and the No. 54 running back in the nation. He’s also the No. 75 prospect in the state of Georgia.
The Troup County star has been making life difficult for opposing defenses the last two seasons. He racked up 816 yards and nine touchdowns while also gaining 113 yards receiving and a score. Warner was even better as a junior this past season with 990 yards and five touchdowns, plus another 195 yards and three scores receiving.
FSU is still looking for a running back commit in their 2027 class. So, Warner is certainly a name to watch.
