The FSU Seminoles have been offering scholarships to a ton of potential recruits lately. Bryson Brown, a defensive back prospect out of Oklahoma, received his on Saturday while he was on campus for a Junior Day event.
Brown is a highly sought-after recruit with nearly 30 offers on the table. Despite this weekend being his first trip to Tallahassee, Brown says that Florida State has moved up the ladder in his recruitment.
“Florida State definitely took a big step in my recruitment,” Brown told Rivals.
Seminoles’ safeties coach Evan Cooper is who extended the offer to Brown. He’s listed as a safety by 247Sports, meaning he has positional flexibility. During his visit, Brown was able to hit the film room with the coaching staff, and he realized that he could contribute at multiple spots at FSU.
“I was able to watch film and discuss how their secondary operates defensively with coaches, and I was very impressed,” said Brown. “I can play safety, nickel, and corner … being able to cover and help with run support.”
Rivals’ industry rankings have Brown listed as the No. 546 overall player and the No. 51 cornerback in the nation. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder is the No. 12 prospect out of Oklahoma as well.
