A Winter Park doctor was arrested on Saturday morning after police say a 15-year-old girl was found unconscious from drinking alcohol at a house party hosted at her home.According to an arrest affidavit from the Winter Park Police Department, officers were called to a residence on Chestnut Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, after multiple reports of juveniles drinking and “falling down drunk.”When officers arrived, they found the teen being taken to an ambulance by Winter Park Fire Department paramedics. She was unconscious and later transported to AdventHealth Winter Park Hospital, the report said.Police identified the homeowner as Dr. Hao Nhu Tran, 51, who told officers she had hosted a gathering for her son and classmates from Trinity Prep. Tran said about 30 teens were invited, but more began showing up from other schools.Officers noted that Tran admitted to buying food and beverages for the event and saw some juveniles drinking alcohol, but claimed she did not supply it herself. She said she told her son to send the uninvited guests home by midnight and remained in her bedroom until she was alerted to the unconscious teen.Tran told police she recognized the teen’s condition as alcohol-related “due to being a physician.” She contacted the girl’s mother, who arrived at the home and called 911, according to the report.Investigators said they found several empty alcohol containers, including hard seltzers and “High Noon” cans, throughout the house. The girl’s mother declined to press charges but told police Tran was initially upset that 911 had been called.Tran was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail.
