Home Run Derby

The City of Largo’s Recreation, Parks & Arts Department is hosting its first Home Run Derby for baseball and softball players ages 16 and older. Designed for athletes who want to test their power at the plate, participants will have three minutes (or up to 40 pitches) to qualify for playoffs. This event will feature machine-pitched softballs provided by RPA staff, and scores will be based solely on home runs. Registration is required by Jan. 30 with $25 entry. Safe Boating Courses

The Boat America Safe Boating Course covers essential boating safety skills and Florida boating laws. Upon completion, participants receive a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Safe Boating ID card.
