The Cape Coral Animal Shelter (CCAS) is gearing up for Puppy Bowl IV on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 8.
It’ll be a day of cuteness and puppy playfulness you won’t want to miss.
CCAS Executive Director Liz McCauley said, “Our Puppy Bowl started in 2023 as a fun way to share puppy playtime on social media. We filmed Puppy Bowl 1 on Saturday and posted the clips on Sunday, and suddenly people were calling and showing up asking if they could watch it in person!”

You’ll see star umpire Tom Ellegood and the CCAS Cheerleaders. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. They’ll support the work of the Cape Coral Animal Shelter.
CCAS Board President and Founder JoAnn Elardo emphasized the importance of such events.
“We’re seeing an increase in abandoned and unwanted puppies across Florida. While puppies are undeniably adorable, it’s heartbreaking how many dogs are waiting in shelters for loving homes,” Elardo said.

Every puppy participating in the Puppy Bowl will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated before they find their forever homes.
In addition to adoptions, CCAS offers free and low-cost spay and neuter services, supporting healthier communities.
Don’t miss the chance to cheer on these adorable athletes at Puppy Bowl IV, where fun and community support come together in Cape Coral.
The event starts at 11 a.m.
