Cape Coral police are investigating a major traffic crash near Sand Road and Burnt Store Road North.

According to police, both northbound and southbound lanes of Burnt Store Road are shut down as officers investigate. Drivers are urged to seek an alternate route.

No further details have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
