Good evening, Central Florida. We’re wrapping up the day for you with the most important stories you need to know and your weather outlook.
Your Weather Planner
A cold front on its way through Central Florida means we say goodbye to the upper 80s of yesterday and the 70s of today. Showers and warm air pushing south will force temperatures to drop and winds to increase through Monday evening.
A cold weather advisory is in effect for all of Central Florida except right along the coast of Brevard County where the warm ocean temperatures will keep air temps just a few degrees warmer. Wind chills (“feels like temperatures”) will be as cold as 25 to 30 degrees early tomorrow.
A freeze warning has also been posted for Marion, Flagler, Lake & Volusia counties from 1 AM to 9 AM Tuesday. Be sure to cover sensitive plants again tonight and bring outdoor pets inside.
Expect a clear sky overnight and full sunshine on Tuesday, but highs will only reach the lower to middle 50s by afternoon. Additional blasts of cold air will continue pushing into Florida this week, keeping highs (and lows) well below normal through next weekend.
The next best chance for rain arrives Saturday. Stay tuned for timing and totals.
