A Cape Coral man was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison for possessing and accessing, with intent to view, images and video depicting sexual abuse of children.According to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Middle District of Florida, Jason Allen Henning, 43, pleaded guilty on July 9, 2025. He was also sentenced to a life term of supervised release and ordered to register as a sex offender.According to court documents, Henning had possessed and accessed, with intent to view, child sex abuse material that he searched for, downloaded and saved from the Internet from April 2022 through January 2024.Previously, Henning was convicted in 2013 for distributing material involving sexual exploitation of minors, and in 2021, he began serving a life term of supervised release, according to the Middle District of Florida.While on his supervised release, Henning was subject to a search of his home, and on Jan. 19, 2024, unauthorized devices were discovered, according to the Middle District of Florida. A forensic preview of the devices showed files with child sexual abuse material, and the FBI was contacted to continue investigating. According to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Middle District of Florida, Jason Allen Henning, 43, pleaded guilty on July 9, 2025. He was also sentenced to a life term of supervised release and ordered to register as a sex offender.

According to court documents, Henning had possessed and accessed, with intent to view, child sex abuse material that he searched for, downloaded and saved from the Internet from April 2022 through January 2024.
