TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida’s historic capital is lit up purple for Alzheimer’s awareness.
The Alzheimer’s Association is hoping state lawmakers will continue to invest in research for the disease.

The association’s Brain Bus is also at the Capitol for memory screenings and to raise awareness.
It is asking state lawmakers for $600,000 for the program, which travels the state offering services.
Advocates also want to see Florida spend millions more for care and awareness initiatives.
