Crews have completed the first layer of roofing for a Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift structure at Universal Studios Florida. The roller-coaster was announced as the replacement for Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

The structure is backstage near the Ghostbusters firehouse facade. Though just a steel framework for now, the structure now has corrugated paneling covering it. More horizontal beams have also been added on the exterior.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is set to open at Universal Studios Florida in 2027. Fast & Furious: Supercharged will close the same year.

The first version of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood. It has 4,100 feet of track, sound reduction technology, and 360-degree rotation to create the sensation of drifting. The Universal Studios Hollywood coaster will open this year.
