PORT ST. LUCIE – In a double ode to true love, St. Lucie Clerk & Comptroller Michelle Miller will offer couples in Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie the opportunity to say their vows or renew their vows at a free ceremony in two romantic locations.
On Saturday, Feb. 14, at noon, couples are invited to participate in a group wedding ceremony at Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce.
Spreading the joy, Clerk Miller is also conducting a ceremony at the Heart in the Park in Tradition at 4 p.m. that same day.
The ceremony fee will be waived for all participating couples.
In a press release the Clerk’s office promoted the event saying this romantic group ceremony provides couples with a meaningful and accessible way to say “I do” while surrounded by the natural beauty of Heathcote Botanical Gardens and the Heart.
The ceremony is open to all eligible couples who complete the registration process in advance. (Standard marriage license fees may still apply.)
Please note: There is a three-day waiting period before you may use your marriage license to get married. Couples are encouraged to plan accordingly to ensure eligibility for the ceremony date.
“Love is something worth celebrating, and we are proud to provide this meaningful opportunity for couples in our community,” said Clerk Miller. “Our goal is to make marriage accessible, memorable, and filled with joy for everyone.”
In addition to the ceremony, a professional photographer will be on-site offering mini photo sessions for all registered couples. These sessions will be available by appointment only to ensure a smooth and timely experience for each couple. There will also be a musician performing at each ceremony.
