WINK Feeds Families’ March to a Million Meals, which benefits Harry Chapin Food Bank, is a monthlong campaign to raise awareness of the region’s growing hunger crisis. Donations help the Food Bank purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy products and shelf-stable foods for neighbors experiencing hunger across Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, Glades and Lee counties.

Wonder Gardens is hosting a Family Fun Day as part of its 90th anniversary celebration. The day will feature hands-on activities, local entertainment, vendors, games, animal interactions, food and refreshments.

United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades is ramping up its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in February to help low to moderate income households have their federal tax returns prepared and e-filed for free. The organization will host Taxathon events on Feb. 3 in Hendry County and Feb 5 in Lee County.

Volunteers representing the Lee County Bar Association are presiding over this year’s preliminary and final rounds of the Lee County Mock Trial Competition, an annual event in which students act as attorneys and witnesses to try a court case.

Art After Dark is a free monthly evening event in the Naples Art District in which rtists open their working studios along J&C Boulevard, Shirley Street and Yahl Street for visitors to explore, meet artists, watch live demonstrations, browse original artwork available for purchase or commission, enjoy wine tastings and light refreshments, and experience how Naples Art District comes alive after dark.

The Horizon Council, Horizon Foundation and Lee County Economic Development Office will explore another year of business growth and opportunities at the 2026 Annual Meeting, which features a State of the Economy presentation. “Innovation Evolved: Fueling Business Expansion and Community Prosperity” will recap the tremendous growth in Lee County and highlight the role of innovation as a key driver of economic development by fostering new connections between cutting-edge ideas and real-world opportunities.

Amateur and pro anglers will gather at Sunshine Ace Hardware’s 10th annual Reel in the Sunshine fishing expo to learn fishing tips directly from fishing guides and boat captains. The Big Cypress Celebration at Big Cypress National Preserve is an immersive fundraising event from The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks that features guided hikes, ranger‑led educational stations, onsite food, merchandise and camping. All proceeds support The Alliance’s programs that fund education, exploration and conservation efforts across Florida’s four national parks.
