3. Amazon cloud computing outage disrupts Snapchat, Ring and many other online services
A problem at Amazon’s cloud computing service disrupted internet use around the world early today, taking down dozens of online services, including social media site Snapchat, the Roblox and Fortnite video games and chat app Signal.
4. New Soarin’ Across America coming to Disney
Disney announced today that Soarin’ Across America will debut at Disney World and Disneyland in summer 2026.
5. In Bradenton stop, Homeland Security Secretary Noem touts ICE efforts
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was in Sarasota and Bradenton today, highlighting the work of ICE and homeland officials in getting what she said are hardened criminals off the streets.
6. NASA’s Sean Duffy wants to open Artemis III to other companies; says SpaceX is behind
Citing that SpaceX is behind schedule with its Starship that will be used for the Artemis III mission, NASA acting Administrator Sean Duffy said today that the U.S. space agency is considering Blue Origin and other companies to handle the task.
7. FSU says ‘comprehensive assessment’ of football program will happen at season’s end
It appears that Florida State football coach Mike Norvell will remain in his post until the end of the 2025 season, but the university said today that a “comprehensive assessment” of the program will happen after the team’s final game.

GAS PRICES LATEST | Florida gas prices declined 2 cents last week, settling at a state average of $2.90 per gallon on Sunday. While the change is modest, it marks the lowest daily average recorded since December 2023. The $2.90 figure is 2 cents less than last week, 28 cents less than last month and 19 cents less than last year. To find the cheapest gas prices in the Bay area, click here.
BUCS AT LIONS | The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leading the NFC South with a 5-1 record, pay a visit to the Detroit Lions for a Monday night showdown. The Lions are 4-2. The Bucs should have wide receiver Mike Evans back on the field after he missed three games with a hamstring injury. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
TAMPA TRAFFIC | All lanes of South Himes Avenue between Jean Circle and South Frankland Road are closed while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break. Barricades and signs are in place. The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 4 p.m. Friday.
