TAMPA, FL — Two dogs were rescued Tuesday from a house fire in Sulphur Springs, Tampa Fire Rescue wrote in a social media post.
Crews responding to the home found heavy smoke coming from its eaves and front door.
After they were told that two dogs were inside, firefighters went into the home and rescued both animals, TFR said.
One dog was given oxygen at the scene after being rescued from the blaze.
The fire was under control within 15 minutes, firefighters said.
The Red Cross was contacted and will help the family that was displaced from the fire, including their pets.
The fire’s cause is under investigation, officials said.
