This weekend will be even colder than we’ve already seen this week.
Another cold front is on the way Saturday morning. This one will be even stronger than the last.
Wind gusts could top 30 mph by midday Saturday during the time of the Gasparilla Invasion. For the parades from 2 to 6 p.m., winds could gust over 40 mph.

EMERGENCY BURN BAN | Pasco County is under an Emergency Burn Ban for all areas of the county due to a prolonged lack of rainfall, resulting in an increased risk of brush fires. Everyone living in unincorporated areas of Pasco County is prohibited from setting fires or causing fires, including open burning, campfires and bonfires, and burning yard waste or garbage. County officials will notify the community when conditions are safe enough to resume open burning.

Part of Manatee County’s long-term water plan calls for taking drinking water from the Peace River.
It comes at a critical time, as the county has seen an increase in water consumption because of rapid growth in the area.
