Jacksonville Police investigate road rage shooting incident

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — There is an increased police presence in the area of Davis St and Oak Ln in Jacksonville due to a shooting incident, according to the Jacksonville Police Department.

No injuries have been reported, and the incident appears to be isolated.

JPD UPDATE:

At approximately 6:00 PM, Officers responded to Henderson Dr and Davis St in reference to a shooting. According to initial reports, a white male driving a small silver SUV fired one shot at another motorist after a road rage incident. The other motorist was not struck by the gunfire.
