TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The weather pattern stays dry and cool in the short term, but we are tracking our next weather system later in the week.

Tonight Through Wednesday Night

Another dry, cold night is on tap across the area. We should see a few more clouds. Lows dip into the mid-20s. Don’t forget to protect your people, pets, plants and pipes.

We remain below average on Wednesday but not as cold as recent days. Highs climb into the low-and-mid-50s under a mostly sunny sky.

We are tracking dry, clear and cold weather for Wednesday night. Overnight lows tumble into the mid-20s.

Ending The Work Week

Our dry stretch will continue for one more day before another weather system on Friday.

Highs on Thursday top out in the mid-50s under a mix of Sun and clouds. Lows settle in the upper-20s to low-30s.

A weak area of low pressure looks to move across the northern Gulf on Friday, and this should bring a chance for scattered rain showers to end the work week. At this point, we are not anticipating severe weather issues. Highs on Friday top out in the upper-50s under a partly sunny sky. Lows settle in the low-30s.

Weekend Forecast

Behind this weather system, we are tracking another shot of winter air.

Saturday is looking dry, partly sunny and windy. Temperatures on Saturday look to stay in the upper-30s and low-40s with winds up to 25 mph at times.

Low temperatures plummet into the low-20s by Saturday night. However, when you factor in the breezy wind, we could see wind chills in the single digits by Sunday morning. An early heads up, we could see some dangerously cold weather by Saturday night.

Sunday is looking dry, sunny and cold. Highs only reach the low-40s, with lows falling into the low-20s.
