The county periodically auctions off surplus property, which goes back into county coffers. During the last auction in August, the Orange County comptroller’s office raised over $943,000.
This latest auction got underway on Wednesday and runs through next Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Vehicles are not the only items up for sale. The county is also selling office supplies, yard and construction equipment, generators, soccer goal frames, exercise equipment, kitchen equipment and appliances, computers and even fire hoses and ladders.

Here’s a sample of some of the more interesting items:
79 Taser guns with the battery and charge head removed, with a starting bed of $5.A lot of kitchen equipment, including ovens, hot boxes, pizza warmers, cappuccino machines, a flat top griddle and a reach-in refrigerator, with a starting bid of $250.
