Florida’s premier law firm, GrayRobinson, announced Monday that attorney and state lawmaker Samuel “Sam” Greco is joining the firm’s Litigation Section as of counsel in its Jacksonville office, bringing a rare blend of military, legislative, and government experience.
Greco, a U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps Reserve lieutenant and member of the Florida House of Representatives, will focus on litigation, maritime law, and appellate and trial support. His new role will allow him to combine courtroom precision with strategic insight drawn from his public service.
“Sam’s experience in the courtroom, the Legislature, and the Navy gives him a unique perspective on complex disputes,” said GrayRobinson President and CEO Dean Cannon. “His ability to navigate high-stakes challenges and advise clients through multiple dimensions of the law makes him an exceptional addition to our litigation team.”
Greco previously served as an active-duty Navy Judge Advocate, representing the United States in federal criminal and administrative proceedings, providing legal aid to servicemembers, and advising senior leadership on sensitive matters. He also worked as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees, where he assisted in the confirmation process for federal judges and national security officials, and later at Ernst & Young, advising clients in the defense and national security sectors.
“As a litigator and legislator, I’ve seen how law and policy intersect,” Greco said. “Joining GrayRobinson allows me to bring those experiences together and help clients find solutions that are both strategic and practical.”
Greco represents District 19 in the Florida House, serving on several key Committees, including Health & Human Services, Security & Threat Assessment, and Transportation & Economic Development Budget.
He earned both his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and continues to serve as a lieutenant in the Navy JAG Corps Reserve.
GrayRobinson, one of Florida’s leading legal and lobbying firms, has nearly 300 professionals in 16 offices across Florida and Washington, D.C.
