TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a shooting allegedly occurred on Ballard Road early Thursday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
The shooting reportedly took place around 3:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of Ballard Road, an LCSO spokesperson confirmed to WCTV late Thursday morning.
Authorities received a call about the incident just before 8 a.m., per the spokesperson.
In a social media post just before 11 a.m., the sheriff’s office announced that the investigation was underway in that area and that there was no threat to the public.
Shortly after, the spokesperson confirmed to WCTV that the victim is alive and was transported to a hospital. Further details regarding the victim and their injuries are unknown at this time.
