TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Leon High School held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday to celebrate the grand opening of its new center, designed to assist students with career exploration, college planning and more.
The new College and Career Readiness Center, which officially opened in October, aims to support students as they “explore careers, build essential skills, and plan clear pathways to postsecondary education and the workforce,” according to the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.

Since the space opened in October, Advisor Jessica Hale says she has seen about 10 students per week.

“My main personal goal is to help just at least one student know what they want to do, help them get there,” she said. “Having a one-stop shop or a hub, if you will, for them to come and talk anything.”
