The Montreux Jazz Festival Miami is growing for 2026, adding two nights and bringing its first‑ever programming to Miami Beach. The expanded five‑day event runs Feb. 25 through March 1 and opens with a special tribute honoring the 100th birthday of Miles Davis, created in partnership with the Miles Davis Estate.
The festival begins Feb. 25 at the Miami Beach Bandshell with the Miles Electric Band, led by Miles Davis’s nephew and Miles’ band alumni, drummer Vince Wilburn Jr., along with the Kind of Blue Acoustic Band. The evening includes appearances by Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Sammy Figueroa and Ibrahim Maalouf. On Feb. 26, drummer and composer Makaya McCraven takes the stage at the Bandshell before the festival moves to its Coconut Grove home at The Hangar at Regatta Grove.
“Expanding Montreux Jazz Festival Miami is about creating space for the kind of musical exchange that feels alive, unrepeatable and rooted in real connection,” says festival co-owner and Grammy and Academy Award–winner Jon Batiste. “Opening the festival with a tribute to Miles Davis, one of the great architects of musical freedom, sets the tone for everything that follows.”
Once in Coconut Grove, the programming continues with a New Orleans celebration hosted by Trombone Shorty and Batiste on Feb. 27. PJ Morton, Tank of Tank and the Bangas and La Reezy will join the lineup, along with surprise guests. Saturday brings performances by Nile Rodgers & CHIC, TOTO and Adi Oasis. The festival closes Sunday night with Bomba Estéreo, Elena Rose and Pedrito Martinez.
Known for intimate, spontaneous collaborations, Montreux Jazz Festival Miami has drawn unannounced late‑night appearances from artists including Maxwell, Shania Twain and Will Smith. This year’s installment also features the return of Dante’s HiFi’s vinyl‑focused listening lounge and a curated culinary lineup to be announced.
