The sheriff’s office stated Richardson was pulled over by an OCSO traffic enforcement deputy on State Road 429 near Stoneybrook Parkway, adding that Richardson was “dangerously tailgating and travelling across lanes of travel to pass other motorists.”

Richardson is charged with dangerous excessive speeding, which is applicable to motorists going 100 mph or more. She was being held on $500 bond as of Thursday evening.

Richardson took home silver for the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 100 meter race, but helped her team win gold in the 4×100 relay.
