On Christmas Eve, officers responded to reports of a shooting on St. Augustine Road near Emerson Street.

Upon arrival, a 55-year-old man, later identified as Kenneth Lockhart, was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.

JSO’s investigation led to the discovery of surveillance footage, which showed Lockhart arguing with Mathis and Woods, police said. The footage also shows the man shooting him “multiple times” before running away.

Both men are facing a murder charge and are being held at the Duval County Jail.
