JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In this episode of “This Week in Jacksonville: Business Edition,” host Kent Justice talks with Revival 250 organizer Chris Widener and Bold City Church pastor Jason Masters about Revival 250—an upcoming faith-focused event scheduled for May 3 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville.
Widener explains that Revival 250 is timed to align with the United States’ 250th anniversary and is designed as a call for churches and believers to live out their faith beyond Sunday services.

He shares that Jacksonville was selected after sustained prayer—and became even more meaningful once the team connected the city’s early history to the French Huguenots, among the first Protestant settlers and martyrs in what is now the Jacksonville area.
The guests also discuss potential economic and community ripple effects—from the immediate impact of a major arena event to longer-term outcomes such as increased charitable giving, stronger community engagement, and values-driven leadership in business. Masters encourages local pastors to connect and participate ahead of May, while Widener underscores the team’s aim: that on May 4, the community can look back and say, “Look what God did.”
