GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Many cities, towns, and counties across Eastern Carolina have enacted states of emergency, and some are enacting curfews.
CRAVEN COUNTY
A state of emergency is in effect.
DARE COUNTY
A state of emergency has been issued for all areas, including Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and Manteo.
GRIFTON
A state of emergency exists and a curfew begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, ending at 8 a.m. Monday.
HYDE COUNTY
A state of emergency has been enacted.
JACKSONVILLE
A state of emergency has been enacted. Shelter opens 10 a.m. Saturday at Jacksonville Commons Middle School.
KINSTON
A state of emergency exists and a curfew begins Saturday at 5 p.m. through Monday at 8 a.m.
LA GRANGE
A state of emergency has been enacted, while a curfew will be in effect from 5 p.m. Saturday to 12 p.m. Sunday.
NEW BERN
A state of emergency exists. Shelters/warming stations have been set up at the Stanley White Rec Center, opening at 10 a.m. Saturday, Religious Community Services, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and Highway & Hedges Revival Center, 24 hours a day.
ONSLOW COUNTY
A state of emergency begins at 7 a.m. Saturday. Shelter opens 10 a.m. Saturday at Jacksonville Commons Middle School.
PITT COUNTY
A state of emergency has been declared.
SWANSBORO
A state of emergency begins at 7 a.m. Saturday.
WAYNE COUNTY
A state of emergency exists.
