ORLANDO, Fla. — A new show in town is not only making its Orlando debut, but its Florida launch as well.
1. “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is the Broadway show making its Sunshine State debut at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
2. Fans of the Harry Potter books and films know all about Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. But in this production, the sons of these fierce enemies have befriended one another, and this story sparks a new journey for them all.
3. We recently popped into DPAC to meet up with David Fine, an actor portraying Scorpius Malfoy (Draco’s son). He says the magic on stage is unlike anything ever seen before. “There are illusions that I still don’t even know how they’re done,” he laughed. “I’ll watch them from the wings and I’m like, I don’t understand, and I don’t want to understand.”
4. David speaks highly of Harry Potter’s son, actor Adam Grant Morrison. “I’ve really loved getting to work with Adam and developing our friendship offstage, and that gets to bleed on stage,” he said.
5. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child runs now through Feb. 15, 2026, at the Dr Phillips Center in Orlando. Click here for ticket information.
