Construction is set to start on Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside by the end of this year.

The project will yield 57 new homes in multiple phases, ultimately yielding 31 single-family homes and 26 townhomes. More specifically, the single-family homes will range from two-bedroom to four-bedroom floorplans, and each will come with a single-car garage and two bathrooms.

Habitat hopes to have completed eight of these homes by June 2026. According to St. Pete Rising, residency at Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside will be reserved for tenants earning 30 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). Pinellas County’s area household income is currently $92,000.

In addition to the income requirements, tenants must complete 38 hours of homeownership education training and have accumulated 350 to 450 hours working on Habitat for Humanity projects.

Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside’s second phase, set to feature 26 townhomes, is anticipated to start construction in the first quarter of 2027. The project’s entire build site spans about six acres; the townhomes will occupy a 1.74-acre parcel, with the remaining single-family homes built on the surrounding sites.

The Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County acquired these parcels in 2016. Previously, the site was approved for another affordable housing development, but that project never came to fruition because of financing issues.

Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside will be situated at 4000 58th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33714, in Pinellas County.
