  • February 1, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – An arctic front has moved across the region, bringing dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills for the weekend.

Tonight Through Sunday Night

The big story for Saturday night will be the cold. Low temperatures plummet into the upper-teens and low-20s under a mostly clear sky. It will also be breezy. We could see wind gusts up to 25 mph at times. As a result, the wind chill could dip into the low-teens and upper single digits.

An Extreme Cold Warning is in effect for the entire region through 1 p.m. Sunday. Be sure to protect your people, pets, plants and pipes.

We are tracking dry, mostly sunny weather on Sunday. However, we stay chilly and a little breezy. The wind isn’t as gusty on Sunday, but we could still see wind gusts up to 20-25 mph at times. Highs top out in the low-40s.

The wind will start to subside for Sunday night as we remain dry and mostly clear to partly cloudy. Lows dip into the upper-teens and low-20s.

Starting The Work Week

We are looking ahead to a slow warming trend as we start the work week.

Highs on Monday reach the mid-50s under a sunny sky. Lows bottom out in the upper-20s.

Tuesday is looking dry and partly cloudy. Highs climb into the low-60s, with lows in the low-to-mid-40s.

Extended Forecast

Our next weather system is lurking for the middle of the week.

Scattered showers are looking possible on Wednesday under a mostly cloudy sky. Highs top out in the mid-60s, with lows in the low-40s.

We are turning cooler and drier behind this weather system. Temperatures on Thursday top out in the mid-50s under a partly cloudy sky. Lows tumble into the upper-20s.

Friday is looking dry, sunny and comfortable. Temperatures reach the upper-50s and low-60s. Lows fall into the upper-30s.
