What is the lowest temperature ever recorded in Florida?
Emily Powell, Assistant State Climatologist at the Florida Climate Center, said statewide, many stations have recorded single-digit temperatures, particularly across the northern half of the state.
“The state’s all-time lowest temperature ever recorded is -2°F in Tallahassee on Feb. 13, 1899, which was associated with an unprecedented extreme cold outbreak that affected the entire Gulf and East Coasts and is still responsible for many record low temperatures that stand to this day,” Powell said.
